Dec, 2003 : ProServe Chooses Redbus Interhouse for Colo
📅 - The Netherlands subsidiary of Redbus Interhouse (interhouse.net), a colocation and managed services provider based in England, said on Monday that Netherlands-based Web hosting company ProServe (proserve.nl)has migrated virtually its entire networking infrastructure, 200 customers and 2,000 servers to Redbus Interhouse's facility in Amsterdam. Redbus Interhouse said ProServe was previously a customer of KPNQwest in Global Switch's data center facility. The company reportedly chose Redbus Interhouse over Global Switch, TeleCity and InterXion.
"Our business and our reputation depend on our capability to ensure that our customers are always up and running for business. After the bankruptcy of KPNQwest, we knew that we needed to find a colocation partner that was financially stable and that could offer a broad range of connectivity, but we didn't want to jump into another relationship without doing our homework first," said Gerben van der Veen, managing director of ProServe. "After a stringent evaluation process, we concluded that all the providers guaranteed similar levels of availability and power back-up, but we were won over by the far more flexible approach offered by Redbus Interhouse, which was the only provider that was willing to allow us to expand our colocation space as our needs expanded."
Redbus Interhouse said the migration to its facilities took a month to complete.
"We're delighted that ProServe chose to move its hosting infrastructure into our facility and view their decision as testament to the superb quality of services we provide our customers and the flexible approach we take to satisfying their individual requirements," said Adriaan Oosthoek, country manager of Redbus Interhouse.
