Jan, 2004 : Media3 Offering Free Linux Hosting Plans

📅 January 9, 2004 - Massachusetts-based Web hosting provider Media3 Technologies (media3.com -> media3.net) said on Thursday that it would give customers free one-year Linux hosting plans as part of its 10-year anniversary celebration.

According to Media3, the free accounts, valued at $8.95 per month, include options such as instant setup, user management, email management, anti-spam features and Web-based file management, and run on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform.
"The hosting industry has changed immensely in the past decade," said Bob Hayes, co-founder and CEO of Media3. "But our central mission of helping small businesses to succeed on the Internet has not. We want our customers for the long term, so we decided to invest in them with this promotion."
Media3 launched its new "Value" line of Red Hat Enterprise Linux hosting plans earlier this week.
