👈 Official Responses: 0 -> ipower.com) were the fastest growing hosting service providers in the world last year among companies with at least 50,000 hostnames as of January 2003, according to research published today by research and analysis firm Netcraft (netcraft.com).

According to Netcraft, German-based IP Exchange grew by 352 percent, adding 218,117 hostnames between December 2002 and December 2003. Hurricane Electric followed with 198 percent growth, while iPowerWeb grew 196 percent. GoDaddy, EV1Servers and Net@access occupied positions 4-6 with Agarik/Amen, Yahoo, Hostway and Burstnet rounding out the top 10.
Of the top 16 fastest growing hosting companies, six were from Europe, nine were American and Hostway was categorized as international.
Netcraft said the top American hosts demonstrated growth in every category, including colocation, dedicated servers, shared hosting, small business e-commerce hosting and domain registration.
Netcraft also listed the top 10 hosting service providers with at least 50,000 hostnames according to growth in total number of hostnames.
According to this categorization, GoDaddy, fourth in terms of percentage growth, occupied the top position with a total of 1,056,838 hostnames added over the same one-year period. GoDaddy was followed by 1&1 Internet at 803,839 hostnames and EV1Severs with 377,801 hostnames. Yahoo, Strato AG, IP Exchange, Hostway, Host Europe, Hurricane Electric and iPowerWeb rounded out the rest of the top 10.
Netcraft noted that the top three performers, GoDaddy, 1&1 Internet and EV1Servers, all have featured low price points as a core component of their strategy.
