Mar 8, 2004 : Invotion Raises $3M to Fund Expansion
📅 - Invotion (invotion.com -> closed-2025-hosting.com), a Web hosting provider based in Louisville, Kentucky, received $3 million in funding last month from Nashville, Tennessee-based Harbinger Mezzanine Partners LP, according to a report published in MSNBC. Invotion plans to use the capital to double the size of its data center facility and expand the company's overall operations, the report said.
Darren King, president and CEO of Invotion, told MSNBC that the company was also interested in expanding through the acquisition of other Web hosting assets. King said the company plans to close on one or two acquisitions in 2004 and is looking at the possibility of others in 2005.
Invotion, according to King, is already in the process of making its first acquisition. The target of the acquisition was not named, but King said the deal is expected to close by the end of the first quarter and will result in the hiring of 15 new employees.
Invotion currently employs 38 employees and operates a 3,500 square foot data center.
