May 7, 2004 : Xiolink Adds Sprint for Bandwidth
📅 - Web hosting and colocation provider Xiolink (xiolink.com), formerly RackMy.com, announced on Thursday the signing of a multi-year deal with Sprint to provide an OC-48 line to Xiolink's data center. Under the deal, Sprint will be able to provide Internet connectivity as part of Xiolink's carrier-neutral colocation services."We are excited to include Sprint as a bandwidth provider to customers in our facility," says Brad Pittenger, CEO of Xiolink. "Sprint was the only major provider servicing this region without a presence in our facility and we have had many requests for their network, now we have the ability to provide these customers a connection to Sprint's high quality network."
Xiolink's data center facility is located at The Bandwidth Exchange Building in St. Louis, Missourri.
"When we purchased our data center last year, there were four customers we acquired from the previous owners and the data center was operating at under 5 percent capacity," says Pittenger. "Today we are over 50 percent capacity with projections to be near 80 percent by the end of the year."
