Jun 3, 2004 : Netscaler Expands to Korea
📅 - Netscaler (netscaler.com), a developer of application delivery systems, announced on Wednesday that is formally launching operations in Korea as part of its plan to expand in one of the world's most wired markets.
"Korea remains one of the most technologically demanding nations in the world," says B.V. Jagadeesh, president and CEO, NetScaler. "We are committed to establishing a lasting local presence in Korea and to getting closer to businesses that seek ways to maximize IT investments by enhancing security and application performance across all networks in a cost effective way."
In conjunction with the announcement, Netscaler said it had secured a number of key customers wins, including Korea Telecommunications Operators Association, Seoul National University and Korea Telecom Freetel. The new customers have deployed the Netscaler 9000 series application delivery system. Korea Telecom Freetel also selected the NetScaler 9800 application delivery switch to provide content switching, load balancing, application acceleration and security, and high availability for its scalable mobile infrastructure, the company said.
"We have already had great early success with Korean telcos, wireless providers, and educational institutions," says Jagadeesh. "But, now, we are seeing demand for the 9000 Series product family soar within the Korean enterprise segment, including deep interest from major chaebols."
