📅 August 12, 2004 - PowerVPS.com (powervps.com), a virtual private server provider, announced on Tuesday the opening of additional facilities in Docklands, London, UK. This new facility will provide localized services to clients within Europe.

"Our new data center is one of the premier colocation facilities in Europe," says PowerVPS CEO Jake Whitfield. "This facility will allow PowerVPS to offer localized hosting solutions to the European market. We are now better placed to serve our European customers."
The new location will allow PowerVPS to offer the same high value, low cost virtual private server packages to European customers who desire a solution that is close to their geographic market.
Carefully designed with redundancy and latency in mind, the new facility will use multiple hot-standby routers and transit from Level3, Tiscali, and Newnet. PowerVPS also peer at XchangePoint.
