RegistryPro says it works with professional organizations and third-party databases to ensure accuracy in domain registration approvals. All .pro applicants are verified against their local, state or federal licensing boards. According to the company, authorized .pro registrars will be able to participate in a one-week sunrise period to begin taking defensive registrations for the three new categories starting November 1, 2004. Beginning November 8, 2004, RegistryPro will start offering language-specific secondary-level domains for all professionals eligible for a .pro domain. For example, an English barrister will now have the choice of registering .bar.pro in addition to .law.pro. SLDs such as .med.pro, .law.pro, .jur.pro., .bar.pro, .cpa.pro, .aca.pro, .stb.pro, .den.pro, dds.pro, dnt.pro, eng.pro, ing.pro and .arc.pro will also be available.
