📅 - European Web hosting provider Active 24 (active24.com) announced on Monday that CEO Anders Eriksson has resigned from his position due to differences with the board on execution of the company's strategy. He will remain available to the board for assistance during a transition period.
Eriksson has held the position as CEO since April 2004 and has, among other efforts, successfully introduced Active 24 on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Jaap Zuiderveld, who was previously general manager for Active 24's Western Europe division, has been appointed new CEO. "We appreciate the strong and positive impact Anders Eriksson has made to Active 24 during his time as CEO," says Anthony Bay, chairman of Active 24. "The formation of a new strategic platform and vision for the company, integration under a single brand - Active 24, the addition of a strong Czech and thereby Eastern European presence, and the listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange are very important milestones in the company's evolution and help build a strong foundation for the future. We wish continued success for Anders in his next position", Zuiderveld has most recently been GM of Active 24's Western Europe Business Unit and part of the executive team of the company. Zuiderveld joined Active 24 in the Netherlands in 2000 and is the longest serving member of the management team.

Within the new framework, Active 24's partners will be able to virtually host Microsoft (microsoft.com) products such as Exchange and SharePoint. They will also be able to offer Live Communication Server based on Kerberos, dedicated servers and Linux-based solutions.
