Feb 4, 2005 : Globat.com Expands Web Hosting Plans

📅 February 4, 2005 - Web hosting provider Globat.com (globat.com )announced on Thursday that it has made significant increases to theemail and Web space allotments for all its Web hosting plans inaddition to dropping prices on the first year of service.

The company is now offering the Gigabytehosting package, priced starting at $4.95 per month, with 5GB of Webspace, calling it the biggest budget Web hosting plan in the industry.The Gigabyte package was first introduced in March of 2003. At thattime, it came with only 1GB of Web space and was priced at $7.50 permonth.

"In summer of 2004 we announced asignificant increase in our package quotas," says Ben R. Neumann, CEOof Globat. "I'm delighted that our business strategy and technologyinvestments are working out so well that we can make an even boldergesture by doubling the Web space that we offer on most of our packageswhile making our services even more attractive for all budget-consciousconsumers and businesses."

Globat.com also said it would be releasing new Web site building and marketing tools later this month.
