📅 - Managed Web hosting and application service provider Nacio (nacio.com) announced on Thursday that it had launched Via Nacio, a partner program for delivering hosted enterprise applications. Under the program, Nacio will partner with independent software vendors, delivering applications out of a managed hosting environment housed in Nacio's data center.
"Our goal is to build a diverse and comprehensive mix of Nacio-hosted product solutions. We're doing it by delivering market leading enterprise software via our hosted management and distribution platform," says Stephen King, vice president for business development at Nacio. "There's a compelling business case to be made for enabling companies to benefit from the power and value of enterprise solutions in a managed, hosted environment - without the overhead and infrastructure costs and the risks and deployment delays of the more traditional 'purchase and install' model." King says the ASP model enables businesses to avoid the complexities of maintaining complex IT environments, helping reduce costs and accelerate application deployment. Hosted applications for content and document management, network assets auditing, distributed business intelligence, facilities management and voice applications, are slated for release later this year.
