May 26, 2005 : Fusepoint Moves RewardStream to Linux
📅 - Application management provider Fusepoint Managed Services (fusepoint.com -> hostpapa.com) announced on Wednesday that it had successfully completed client RewardStream's (rewardstream.com) network migration from Solaris to Linux. The managed service solution will now offer heightened security capabilities, and will also serve as a built-in disaster recovery solution.
"A key business decision was made to outsource all internal IT functionality to Fusepoint, allowing RewardStream staff to continue to focus on our core business drivers ? product development and client service," said RewardStream CTO Blair Whelan. "With Fusepoint's help, our move to a Linux-based solution will further improve system reliability while reducing operational costs."
A new, open source version of the network was built, with overall performance maximized by load balancing both Web and application functionality.
