Apr, 2001 : Level 3 to Provide Bandwidth for Yahoo! Broadcast

(level3.com), a leading provider of IP, broadband transport and colocation services, announced on Monday that it had formed an agreement with Internet communications, commerce and media company Yahoo!, where Level 3 will serve as the primary provider of bandwidth for the new Web site Yahoo! Broadcast (http://www.broadcast.yahoo.com).
Yahoo! Broadcast is designed as an enhanced rich media destination, where users can access content including movies, television programs, interviews, and musical performances, from leading providers. The site was unveiled Monday at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas.
Level 3 says it is pleased to be working with Yahoo! as the primary bandwidth provider for the innovative broadband content site. The company says the project is a good example of how Level 3's network is helping companies to provide a high level Internet experience for their customers.
