Aug 30, 2005 : Berbee Completes SAS Type II Audit

📅 August 30, 2005 - Web hosting provider Berbee Information Networks (berbee.com) announced on Monday that its Madison, Wisconsin and Minneapolis, Minnesota data centers recently completed SAS 70 Type II Audit and SysTrust Certification.
 SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. "A SAS 70 Audit is the primary means by which a service provider can convey the validity of its internal controls and operating effectiveness," says Phil LaForge, vice president of Berbee's data center services. "The clean opinion delivered by our auditors confirms for others what Berbee data center clients have experienced for years - rock solid IT services reliability. Reliability forged on a strong foundation of engineering expertise and best practice-based internal controls." Virchow, Krause and Company completed the recent SAS 70 Type II independent assessment of controls over Berbee's data center services. Berbee achieved a favorable SAS 70 Type I audit result last December.
