📅 September 7, 2005 - Web host PowWeb (powweb.com ) announced last week that it has acquired online frequently asked question site FAQTs.com. FAQTs enables users to create a FAQ list on any topic from music to travel.

Frequently asked question lists have been around since the Internet's origins, compiling information into easy-to-digest lists. But because FAQs are spread all over the Internet, there is no central registry for locating them and it is left to search engines to locate and index their content. PowWeb says FAQTs.com will remedy the problem by providing a central registry for FAQ's.

Nearly a quarter of a million visitors visit FAQTs.com every month to find information, respond to a question or upload an entire compiled FAQ. These are then reviewed and posted for public use.

"PowWeb has built its entire business on the Internet as a host and we have been very lucky with how we have done," says PowWeb business development manager Joshua McGinnis. "Re-launching FAQTs.com as a PowWeb site is our way of giving back to the community that has helped us.
