📅 - Web host and domain registrar RegisterFly.com (registerfly.com) said on Wednesday that it would offer Whois privacy protection and 1GB of Web hosting space free with every new domain name registration.
The company's Whois privacy protection service, called ProtectFly, replaces the domain registrant's contact information with that of RegisterFly.com in the Whois database. The Whois database stores the names and contact information of domain name owners.
"A number of our competitors charge upwards of $9 for privacy protection and most offer no free Web space within their standard offering," says Terry Kocek, vice president of sales for RegisterFly.com. "Our philosophy has always been to provide the most value for the money. We strongly believe in providing our clients with a large number of value-added tools, such as banner-free Web sites, search engine submission tools, and multiple payment and security options all-inclusive with each domain registration."
RegisterFly.com is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar and Web hosting provider based in West Orange, New Jersey.
