📅 February 9, 2006 - Dedicated hosting provider ServerPronto (serverpronto.com ) announced on Wednesday it is offering its customers to take advantage of its new optional gigabit port. The expanded capacity enables customers to withstand malicious attacks or massive intended traffic spikes, without harming their applications.

"We've added a gibabit port option on all of our packages," says Chris Kurzweg, COO of ServerPronto. "We know that distributed denial of service attacks could come in at 100 Mbps and completely disable most dedicated servers. Our gigabit port connections allow you to withstand attacks."

The gigabit port option is priced at $65 per month. Dedicated server plans start at $29.95 a month for the starter package to $249.95 a month for the Xtreme Power package, and require no contractual obligation.

ServerPronto is a dedicated hosting subsidiary of data center operator Infolink. ServerPronto offers redundant power, fast fiber connections, and round-the-clock support.
