Mar, 2006 : U.S. Healthworks Deploys AT&T Networking
📅 - Telecommunications provider AT&T (att.com) announced on Wednesday that it has signed a three year, $2 million networking agreement with occupational health and urgent care service provider U.S. HealthWorks.
AT&T will provide Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network, Internet access and networking hardware for U.S. HealthWorks? 120 domestic locations. The two companies have a separate, existing contract by which AT&T provides U.S. HealthWorks with local and long-distance voice services.
Under the new agreement, AT&T will support a sophisticated network infrastructure that upgrades U.S. HealthWorks's existing frame relay and IP network to a single AT&T IP VPN and MIS solution, increasing its bandwidth and reliability.
"The AT&T network upgrade solution was a clear choice because of its ability to support our multi-site business model, together with its cost, quality and features," says Steve Essayan, enterprise solutions director for U.S. HealthWorks. "It provides a fault-tolerant enterprise environment that supports current network requirements, as well as scalability to support future Web-based systems, imaging and voice over IP applications."
