Apr 11, 2006 : ColoServe Offers New Ethernet Products
📅 - Colocation and managed service provider ColoServe (coloserve.com -> hostinger.com) announced on Tuesday that it is now offering several new metro Ethernet products-- LanExtender, NetExtender, and DataExtender. By leveraging ColoServe's Screaming-Fast Network and the latest Internet networking technology, businesses can increase the bandwidth and redundancy of their networks while reducing costs.
"Use of metro Ethernet services is growing due to the many benefits it offers, including faster provisioning, superior flexibility and greater capacity," says John Keagy, president of ColoServe. "ColoServe recognizes the value this service brings to our customers because now they can experience these benefits while connecting at a very high speed to both the Internet and off-site servers they put in our secure data center so fast, it feels as though the servers were still in their office." Metro Ethernet enables customers to consolidate services including colocation, disaster recovery, off-site backups and Internet access through a single vendor, which often increases the operational efficiency for an IT department.
Using a high-speed fiber connection to connect an office to a colocation provider makes hosting critical production or backup servers off-site more compelling. In the event of a power outage, critical applications are still accessible via a high-capacity Internet connection, resulting in zero down time.
