Apr 28, 2006 : Web Host Sponsors Golf Tournament

📅 April 28, 2006 - Web hosting provider Awecomm Technologies (awecomm.com) announced on Friday it is donating Web services for the Gull Lake Fellowship Open (glfo.com) amateur golf tournament again this year.

Awecomm Technologies currently provides Web design and hosting services to promote the tournament as well as financial contributions to help fund the non-profit organization. The GLFO is held annually at the Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort in Battle Creek, Michigan. This year marks the 27th year of the tournament with donations and proceeds benefiting Spectrum Health's Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion.

"The tournament is a great opportunity for all golfers, regardless of their handicap, to enjoy great courses, light-hearted competition and help some great charities," says Bob Yax, tournament co-director. "For the past four years Awecomm has provided the technology that makes this wonderful event possible, and we?re happy to have them involved again this year."

The three-day, 140-person amateur tournament was created to raise money for non-profit organizations. The tournament is open to all players, regardless of handicap. This year's tournament will be held May 24 to May 26 with an optional practice round on May 23.
