Sep, 2026 : AI Coding Firm Cognition Raises $2B at $48B Valuation
📅 - Cognition has raised more than $2 billion at a $48 billion valuation, nearly doubling its valuation since May as investors crowd into autonomous software development. The AI coding company says run rate revenue has climbed from $492 million to almost $900 million over the same period, while enterprise adoption of its Devin coding agent is expanding across several customers.
The financing is striking because of the speed, not just the size. Cognition was valued at $26 billion after raising more than $1 billion in May. A few months later, Andreessen Horowitz and Accel have led another round at almost twice that valuation, joined by existing investors including Founders Fund, General [...][... 📅 - NetIX Extends Global Peering Access Across More Than 60 IXPs - NetIX has expanded its Global Internet Exchange service to more than 60 Internet exchanges, adding Singapore Internet Exchange and widening access through a single connection. The move gives networks another way to extend peering reach without managing separate memberships, cross connects, and deployments at every exchange, although consolidation also concentrates more operational dependence on one intermediary provider.
For network operators, the useful part is not the number 60 by itself. It is the reduction in physical and commercial overhead required to reach those exchanges. NetIX says customers can enter the service from more than 220 locations and use one port, one cross connect, [...]
📅 - Keepit Hits $100M Milestone as AI Reshapes SaaS Backup - Keepit has crossed $100 million in annual recurring revenue as the Danish SaaS data protection provider tries to reposition backup infrastructure for enterprise AI. The company says growth has accelerated around its AI Truth Cloud strategy, while its independent cloud architecture is increasingly aimed at buyers concerned about data integrity, sovereignty, hyperscaler dependence, recovery, and operational control.
The revenue milestone gives Keepit more room to argue that backup is moving beyond a defensive IT function. Since One Peak first invested in September 2020, Keepit says the business has expanded more than thirteenfold, equivalent to a compound annual growth rate above 55%. That [...]
📅 - Extreme Networks Brings Context-Aware AI Into Network Operations - Extreme Networks has made its Agent ONE Coworker generally available worldwide, embedding a context-aware AI system inside Extreme Platform ONE to analyze network behavior, recommend fixes, generate reports, and escalate support cases. The vendor says customers can resolve problems up to 15 times faster, extending automation deeper into day-to-day enterprise network operations without removing human oversight entirely.
The more consequential part is not the chatbot interface. Extreme Networks is trying to make its software watch the network continuously, compare current activity with historical baselines, and surface issues before an operator explicitly starts investigating. That shifts [...]
