Amazon Web Services Launches Graviton5 Memory-Optimized EC2s
📅 - AWS (Amazon Web Services) has made its memory-optimized Amazon EC2 R9g and R9gd instances generally available, introducing AWS Graviton5 processors to database, cache, analytics, and container workloads. The new instances promise up to 25 percent higher compute performance per vCPU, faster memory, larger caches, and substantially more network and storage bandwidth than their AWS Graviton4-based predecessors for customers.
For infrastructure buyers, the launch is another reminder that Amazon Web Services is steadily turning processor design into a cloud economics weapon.
