📅 - Flexential has upgraded parts of its private backbone to 400 Gbps across 15 data centers in Atlanta, Dallas, Denver and Hillsboro, Oregon, giving customers access to 100 Gbps ports as artificial intelligence workloads, data replication and hybrid cloud traffic increasingly expose the limits of older network designs and slower provisioning models across major United States markets today.
The capacity increase is aimed less at making individual applications suddenly faster than at removing a growing choke point between data centers, cloud regions and carrier networks.
