DE-CIX and datamena confirmed this week that UAE-IX, the neutral Internet exchange they jointly operate in the emirate, is now handing off traffic at 400-gigabit Ethernet line rate. The upgrade, delivered on the same switching fabric that supports the platform's existing 10, 25 and 100 Gbps ports, makes UAE-IX the first and only exchange in the Middle East able to offer customers a single 400 GbE interface.
