📅 July 18, 2006 - Do-it-yourself Web hosting provider Freewebs (freewebs.com) announced on Monday it has appointed Rick Robinson as vice president of products and programming. He brings to Freewebs 10 years of experience with AOL, where he served as the VP of member experience, as well as helping launch AOL's Digital City local network, the AOL Wireless group and AOL Community Products.

In his new role, Robinson will lead a team focused on making advanced Web presence development simple and devise new methods for people to interact with one another online, as well as bring Freewebs members worldwide visibility through content programming and promotion.
