"This has really been a long time coming," says Corey Northcutt, Ubiquity's chief marketing officer. "For years now our company has made a significant name in shared and dedicated hosting, it was simply time to fill in the gap between those offerings. We're jumping in full-steam too - for all of the VPS clients that come to us over the first seven days, we'll be giving out an entire free month of service."
Ubiquity's new virtual private server service will use SWSoft's (swsoft.com) Virtuozzo platform, enabling users to partition isolated virtual server environments from a single real server. The solution is one of the few, says Ubiquity, that enables users to secure complete functional, fault and performance isolation.
Despite offering somewhat limited features in its initial VPS offering, providing options for two operating systems and three control panels, the company says it will significantly increase the available options during the next 30 days.
