Companies, such as Google and Microsoft have created their own data centers in Singapore, along with leasing space. LinkedIn, Facebook and other social networks also lease space on the island.
These companies are looking for large multi-megawatt data centers they can lease and drive more demand with. This is similar to the way large cloud companies look for data centers in other locations, such as Dallas, Dublin and Chicago.
