📅 - The cloud hosting division of Amazon, Amazon Web Services has opened up new data centers in the UK. Amazon announced the new data centers in a statement on Wednesday. The company hopes to expand their presence in the region and to stay head of the competition.
IBM and Microsoft Corp. have also decided to expand their presence in the UK as well.
The Amazon data region of the UK includes two time zones and contains multiple data centers. This is the 16th Amazon data center worldwide, and the third in Europe. The company is already planning a fourth European location in France and is planned to open next year.
