Sep, 2016 : Cloud Platform From Oracle Gets MySQL and PHP Support


Sep 21, 2016 - Oracle has announced new support for both MySQL and PHP within their cloud platform. These are just a couple of the new developer tools announced from the company at the JavaOne Conference. The new support and products will allow developers more flexibility with databases, languages, environments and operating systems.

The company also announced a Bare Metal Cloud Service, which will provide a Virtual Cloud Network. This will allow customers faster throughput and IOPS than other competitors and at a lower price.

Sep 20, 2016 - More Than 554 Million Data Hacks Reported - In the first six months of the year, there have been 554 million data record breaches globally. The most common form is identity theft.

According to the latest Breach Level Index by Gemalto, there has been a 15 percent increase over the previous six months. Gemalto has been keeping track of publicly disclosed data breaches since 2013.

North America accounts for a majority of the reported incidents at 79 percent, trailed by Europe with 9 percent, and the Asia-Pacific region at 8 percent.

The Foundation said that three of the beginner training courses are available. The courses encourage proficiency in the multi-cloud application platform.

Sep 21, 2016 - Box Receives BCR Approval - Box announced Tuesday that they have received approval for its Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) from the UK Information Commissioner's Office and Data Protection Authorities of Spain and Poland.

The seal of approval extends certified data protection to both customers and Box European Economic Area employees. The review focused on the data protection policies and practices of the Box corporate family.

Binding Corporate Rules assure consistency of data protection practices across geographic and corporate borders. Box says they are the only company in the world with both APEC Cross Border Privacy Rules and BCR certification.
