📅 - Government Sachs was a phrase used for the Wall Street firms during the financial crisis because they seemed to have control of all the important positions in Washington. Now, it may be Googlement because Google is large enough to spend money on lobbying lawmakers and regulators in their favor.
Google has gone from spending about $1 million on lobbying ten years ago to nearly $17 million in 2015. Only General Electric and Boeing spent more. Google also has a very tight relationship with the Obama administration.
