📅 - VMware Inc. has reported sales and profits higher than estimates from analysts. The forecasts were not nearly as high as the product sales and profits reported.
Second quarter revenue was nearly $1.7 billion when the estimates were at about $1.68 billion. Sales are up 11% from last year and profits were at 97 cents per share for this period. Shares actually rose as much as 12% and closed at $62.57 in New York.
