Google Developers Can Run Google Infrastructure for 6 Months
📅 - Google's software developers can take advantage of an interesting proposition. Google wants its software engineers, normally focused on product development, to work on the team that operates its infrastructure for 6 months. The global-scale infrastructure includes both company-owned and leased data centers.
The program is similar to NASA's terminology, the program is called Mission Control. The program attempts to give Google engineers a better understanding of the building and operation of its infrastructure at a massive scale. Engineers will work for 6 months at one of Google's centers around the world.

With India as the second largest country in the world for SMEs, GoDaddy felt the need to break the language barrier. They did quite a bit of research in 2015, which shows that 63% of the businesses found in India don't have a website.
GoDaddy is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and was created in 1997. The company is globally recognized and has focused on small businesses for many years. This move will allow the company to add even more small business clients to their services.

📅 - IBM and Telcom PTCL Become Partners on Public Cloud - Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited or PTCL and IBM Italia S.p.A. have partnered to launch a new public cloud service in Pakistan. The companies will use the new offering to target corporate customers and will offer many additional services through the IBM cloud platform.
PTCL is headquartered in Islamabad, Pakistan and has been known as the largest converged services carrier in the country. They offer many services including video-conferencing, internet access and more. The two companies together will be able to offer a turnkey solution developed by IBM and available through the PTCL data centers in Karachi and Lahore.

📅 - Microsoft to Launch Azure Stack by Mid-2017 - In an announcement that came on Tuesday at WPC 2016, Microsoft said it “will prioritize delivering Azure Stack to customers via these systems at launch, which is expected in mid-2017.” The systems referred to in the quote are Dell, HPE, and Lenovo, who will deliver pre-configured Azure Stack systems in an effort to speed the process of implementing Azure Stack in data centers.
These integrated systems use software, hardware, customer support, and services, bundled together in one solution. The concept for Azure Stack was initially announced at the Ignite Conference in 2015. 📅 - European Commission Okays EU-US Privacy Shield - The European Commission approved the agreement between the European Union and the U.S. for a privacy shield that will protect data transfers between the two on Tuesday. The Commission Implementing Decision (PDF) was announced after months of negotiations between the parties. It will extend data privacy protection measures for data that is transferred and held in the U.S.
“The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield is a robust new system to protect the personal data of Europeans and ensure legal certainty for businesses. It brings stronger data protection standards that are better enforced, safeguards on government access, and easier redress for individuals in case of complaints. The new framework will rest
