📅 - Recently, the Oregon-based data center service provider, Peak Hosting, filed for bankruptcy. They had lost a customer, which was responsible for 80% of their revenue right before the move. The customer was Machine Zone, a maker of very popular mobile games, Mobile Strike and Game of War.
After an outage at Peak Hosting las year, Machine Zone started to move to a different facility in Las Vegas. Peak Hosting plans to use bankruptcy protection to rebuild the company and pay for the lawsuit it has with Machine Zone. They also hired a chief restructuring officer and laid off most of their staff.
