📅 - On Monday morning, Microsoft announced that it plans to acquire LinkedIn in a deal valued at $26.2 billion. Bloomberg says the valuation is about 91 times LinkedIn's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amoritization – the highest multiple of any acquisition in its class this year.
LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner will continue in his role.

Shawna Gee, Peer1 spokesperson, confirmed that the outage affected some users and noted that the company posted regular updates via Twitter throughout the outage. By 6:30pm, full power had been restored to the data center.
