📅 - WordPress.com now offers free, automatic HTTPs for custom domains hosted on WordPress.com. This came from a recent announcement from the company and more than one million domains are expected to be secured.
WordPress used the Let's Encrypt project to provide SSL certificates for the larger number of domains. The first round of certificates was launched in January and WordPress started working with Let's Encrypt to make the process even better, almost immediately. .
