Apr, 2016 : DreamCompute has been Released in Beta from DreamHost

📅 April 6, 2016 - DreamCompute, an open source public cloud, has recently been released in beta by DreamHost. It was originally released in limited beta and now it has been upgraded to general availability.

The new open source cloud uses a scalable storage system called Ceph and the network orchestrator Project Astara. It also uses OpenStack for scalability and security.

DreamHost is the founding member of the OpenStack Foundation and they developed Project Astara and Ceph. The company is now a finalist for the OpenStack Superuser Awards.
