New FCC Labels Hope to Bring Internet Contract Transparency


📅 - The FCC has recently changed the Open Internet transparency rules and providers in the United States have to provide consumers with clear plan information now. Along with this rule, the FCC has come up with labels very similar to the nutrition facts found on food for ISPs to use. This is in an effort to make the plan details from an ISP more transparent for customers.

The labels will include necessary elements, such as performance, price and data allowances. They may also include other information, such as overage charges, equipment, administration fees, early termination and other key features.
