📅 - Equinix has thrown their name in the hat when it comes to the purchase of the Verizon and CenturyLink data center assets. Both large US telcos are looking to sell after putting a halt to their expansions into the cloud services market.
Equinix didn't come right out and say they are trying to purchase the data centers from CenturyLink and Verizon. However, they did say, they are looking into purchasing data centers from a “couple big telcos”. One of the other possible telcos they could be referring to is AT&T. They have been looking to sell about $2 billion worth of data center assets. .
