Verizon to Shut Down Public Cloud With One Month’s Notice
📅 - Verizon, the communications giant, has been in the public cloud sector for years but announced their plan to shut down its public cloud service on Thursday. The shut down comes after industry competitors like AWS and Azure have gained in popularity.
Verizon is giving its cloud customers one month to move data over to new cloud service providers. Their website reflects the changes.

AWS is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. They are one of the leading cloud providers with services, such as storage, compute, application, analytics, database and deployment options. The financial aspects of the deal were not released and it's expected to be announced at the end of the first quarter of 2016. .
