📅 - The Toronto Raptors have partnered with IBM Cloud to develop IBM Sports Insights Central, a “war room” where data can be comprehensively viewed, analyzed, and compared just in time for the February 18 NBA Trade Deadline.
The platform includes all NBA players and prospects, not just the Raptors' roster. The idea is to use data and analytics to strengthen the Raptors' talent evaluation process.

📅 - Sci-Hub Pirate Website Giving Away Academic Papers Ignores Lawsuit - Russian neuroscientist Alexandra Elbakyan received the first legal complaint in June 2015 about Sci-Hub.com. She created the website for the purpose of making academic papers available to anyone who needed them for free. Sci-Hub, the name of the website, holds more than 47,000,000 academic papers.
The court ruled in favor of the academic publisher in October 2015, saying Sci-Hub violated US copyright law and suspending the website. In return, Ms. Elbakyan moved to a new domain and continues to get around 30K visitors each day.

They provide a wide range of products including cloud and grid solutions, such as Desktop Cloud Virtualization.
AWS is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. They are one of the leading cloud providers with services, such as storage, compute, application, analytics, database and deployment options. The financial aspects of the deal were not released and it's expected to be announced at the end of the first quarter of 2016. .
