📅 - The Wi-Fi Alliance has recently launched Next-Gen Wi-Fi to help support Internet of Things. It will enable lower power, long range devices to connect to the Internet of Things and they are calling it HaLow. HaLow is a 802.11ah standard operating below one gigahertz for connected cars, smart homes, smart cities and digital healthcare.
HaLow has the ability to extend Wi-Fi into the 900 MHz range. It supports many new devices and uses less electrical power. Even though this new Wi-Fi uses less power, it generates a range of about twice the previous standard. .

They released a post on Tuesday stating all users will be prompted to create a new password on their next login.
After a security investigation was conducted by Linode, they discovered two sets of user credentials on external machines. The table found contained email addresses, usernames, securely hashed passwords and encrypted two-factor seeds. .
