More than 3 Million Hello Kitty Users Had Their Accounts Breached
📅 - Over 3 million users of the SanrioTown online community, which are Hello Kitty fans, had their accounts breached and their details revealed. The data leak included their names, birthdays, email addresses and genders.
A flaw in the hashing approached was how the breach happened. The hack followed the VTech hack from November and both attacks revealed data, which was related to children. Sanrio has urged parents to ensure the passwords of their children are updated.
