📅 - Facebook is looking to replicate the success of the open source server design used for artificial intelligence. They plan to contribute to the efforts of the newest custom high-performance servers used in the Open Compute Project. Mark Zuckerberg said that the hardware helped to save the company over $1 billion last year.
The new AI hardware from Facebook will be powered by GPUs, which are processors built specifically for graphics. The GPUs provide a higher performance level than regular processors. .

Elastic was created in 2012 and has headquarters in both Mountain View, California and Amsterdam. They offer products, such as the Open Source Elasticsearch project, Kibana, Logstash and others.
Elastic has a backing, which includes many Venture Capitalists including Index Ventures and Benchmark Capital. With Microsoft and Elastic working together, they are able to use Elasticsearch to add new enhancements and automation with a Bring-Your-Own-License (BYOL) model. .
📅 - Existing OneDrive Customers will Get to Keep Storage - After Microsoft announced the storage limits of the OneDrive cloud storage service would be reduced, customers shared how unhappy they were. Microsoft has now responded by allowing customers to keep their 15GB of base storage, along with their 15GB camera roll bonus.

Linode was founded in 2003 and specializes in cloud-hosting services for developers and designers. The company has about 400,000 customers and provides a high performance service on Linux servers. .
