Dec 21, 2006 : GlobalWebBrands Updates Storage Tool

📅 December 21, 2006 - Web hosting provider GlobalWebBrands (globalwebbrands.com) announced on Wednesday that it has launched version 2 of its uploadFX online file storage service.

The company says the extensively tested tool was developed by Timothy Frie and Dalip Jaggi.

First launched in September of 2006, the uploadFX service enables users to upload images and documents and store or host them with uploadFX for free. The service was designed to be used by bloggers and MySpace users.

Introduced this week, version 2 of the service offers faster upload speeds, a new user interface and 24-hour email customer support.

GlobalWebBrands says it is currently planning version 3 of the service, and is working with user requests for new features.

Savvis intends to locate the new data centers in Atlanta, Georgia, New York, New York, Washington, DC and Santa Clara, California, and plans to open them by the fourth quarter of 2007.
