📅 - Application traffic management software maker Zeus Technology (zeus.com) announced on Wednesday that it is supporting Kids Voting Hawaii, a non-partisan organization that was established to educate Hawaiian children on the American electoral process.
Zeus says it collaborated with Kids Voting Hawaii to reinforce its Web site against the concentrated volume of traffic coming from the program, using the Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager.
The ZXTM makes the Web site and network operate faster, more reliably and more securely, and makes it easier to manage. The platform can handle large flash floods of Web traffic. During the election period, 97,508 students were able to log on and submit their votes from school, libraries, at home and polling sites, while the site remained available throughout.
"In the past, quickly securing data transmission and responding to large spikes in demand were difficult until we found ZXTM," said Jeff Chan of Commercial Data Systems, systems engineer for Kids Voting Hawaii. "ZXTM made it possible for us to monitor our real-time performance metrics and enabled Hawaii students to securely vote, while enhancing their understanding of the electoral process and civic responsibility."
