📅 - FTC Files Lawsuit Against T-Mobile, Claims The Carrier Added Bogus Charges To Bills - The FTC filed a complaint against T-Mobile on Tuesday, claiming the company has been adding unauthorized chargers to customer's bills.

According to Reuters, the mobile carrier charged users for third party services such as horoscopes and dating tips, which usually costs $9.99 a month, and kept 35 to 40 percent of the charged amount.

Most customers were not aware of the charge because the company reportedly disguised the usage charges with desriptions such as “8888906150BrnStorm23918.”

According to USA Today, the FTC is trying to get the retail giant to change its policy by requiring passwords to purchase in-app content, though Amazon says the parental controls on its devices are “effective” and include real time notice on all purchases.
