NaviSite Achieves Cisco Advanced Managed Services Certification

📅 - Certification recognizes the company's initial investment in the ITIL processes, practices and tools necessary to provide high-quality managed services.

NaviSite, Inc., a provider of cloud-enabled enterprise hosting and application services, yesterday announced that it has achieved the Cisco Advanced Managed Services Certification. The company claims that this certification recognizes its initial investment in the ITIL processes, practices and tools necessary to provide high-quality managed services. As a Cisco Advanced Managed Services Certified Partner, NaviSite has made an investment in a network operations center and has demonstrated the ability to support two customers, validated via an independent audit by an objective third-party auditor.

It explains that in addition, the company has achieved Cisco Powered managed services designations in Cisco Powered Private Cloud, demonstrating the ability to use cloud technology to deliver infrastructure as a service capability. As part of its cloud solutions portfolio, the company offers a Virtual Private Cloud service that allows organizations with specific private cloud requirements to run their own cloud within a company data center and maximize economies of scale without the capital burden. This service is ideal for customers looking to leverage the cloud, while maintaining a physically distinct and dedicated computing environment.

"This achievement represents an important milestone in the development and roll out of our cloud-based services," said R. Brooks Borcherding, President and CEO, NaviSite. "Cisco has recognized and validated, through a rigorous assessment, that we have the necessary processes, management practices and tools in place to support our enterprise customers in all lifecycle phases."
