May, 2010 : Alert Logic Names Channel Chief to Drive Partner Program
Alert Logic, a provider of log management, intrusion detection and cloud security solutions for enterprises and service providers, today appointed security industry veteran Randy Rosenbaum as its Director of Partner Development to lead the Alert Logic Partner Success Platform, launched earlier this year.
The company states that Rosenbaum, who previously served as its Product Marketing Manager, will draw on his knowledge of the hosting and security industries coupled with the unique challenges of compliance management, which he knows well given his extensive background and his credentials as a Certified Payment-Card Industry Security Manager (CPISM). As the company's Channel Chief, Rosenbaum will work closely with its service provider partners to ensure they are equipped with the right resources, training and insight to build industry-leading managed security solutions for their customers. It further states that he will also help partners expand their current customer pipeline through joint marketing initiatives focused on security and compliance. The company adds that its Partner Success Platform is a structured program designed to ensure its channel partners achieve these goals.
It articulates that it offers strategic value to service providers by offering cloud-ready security solutions designed to address the compliance and security needs of their end customers. The company claims that its strategy is unique to the industry in two ways: It is the only company to provide its own intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment and log management technology as a service powered by the cloud; and it offers the only solution designed and delivered in a way to maximize revenue and profit opportunities for service providers. It mentions that its current partners include Rackspace, OpSource, Hosting.com, Hosted Solutions, ViaWest, Navisite, Datapipe, Logicworks, Latisys, PEER 1 Hosting, Hostway, and The Planet.
