Secure128, a wholesaler of website security and marketing products catering to resellers, today announced that it has partnered with Trustwave, a provider of on-demand and subscription-based information security and payment card industry compliance management solutions, to provide e-commerce merchants with a single source data protection solution that combines SSL certificates with security services. The company avers that the result is a solution bundle that enables e-commerce merchants to secure their information with Trustwave's 256-bit SSL certificates, validate compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) through Trustwave's web portal, TrustKeeper, and demonstrate their compliance to consumers by displaying the Trusted Commerce(SM) web site security seal.

It says that through this new partnership, it will resell Trustwave's TrustKeeper SSL Plus package to customers and partners. The company further states that included in this package is access to the Trustwave SSL Control Center and TrustKeeper, Trustwave's on-demand compliance management service, which detects and alerts customers of security flaws at their network perimeter and provides guidance to address these exploits. It also provides the necessary tools to support on-going compliance including external vulnerability scanning for Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

It explains that TrustKeeper SSL Plus also includes an Enterprise SSL certificate to provide security for those merchants communicating sensitive information over the Internet such as credit card information. These certificates feature 256-Bit encryption and include a $250,000 identification guarantee, as well as free reissues for the life of the certificate. Additionally, merchants will be able to display Trustwave's Trusted Commerce site security seal. The Trusted Commerce seal is the industry's only site seal to simultaneously display both an organization's compliance with the PCI DSS and their use of an SSL certificate within one seal. The Trusted Commerce seal is recognized as a mark of trust by millions of consumers every day.
