Versaweb, a provider of Virtual Private Servers, dedicated hosting, colocation, and managed services, today announced that it has chosen R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology to protect hundreds of dedicated server clients' data and to providedisaster recovery services for companies looking for the most secureoffsite backups.
It avers that with R1Soft CDP technology, it will gain numerous capabilities such as Bare-Metal Restores for quick, efficient disaster recovery and minimal downtime. The company states that it can also delegate administrative functions to clients that want to back up multiple servers in one account, and offer features such as cPanel integration module and MySQL module to their large group of cPanel-based webhost clients who host extensive MySQL-based sites.
It further states that it will offer Windows and Linux CDP backups as an option bundled with dedicated servers as well as a separate service directly to clients looking for backups to a remote location. Dedicated CDP backup servers will also be available for clients whose needs don't fit within the shared solution.
